How will my order ship?

We will ship your order in the most reliable, cost-effective way possible, using either FedEx, UPS or Canada Post. A tracking number will be emailed to you.

Dropship orders:. This means your order will ship from the manufacturer's warehouse - from Mississauga, Ont., for KidKraft Canada and Guidecraft Canada  products. Pickups are not possible. Dropship lines include Dexton Tents, Guidecraft Canada, KidKraft Canada, Little Partners and the Schoenhut Piano Company. Orders are e-mailed to the appropriate sales reps, who are based in the U.S., and once they have processed the order, the order is then shipped to our customers in Canada. Once we receive a tracking number supplied by the reps, we email you the tracking number.

How are shipping rates calculated?

Shipping has a real-time live feed from FedEx.. This means shipping costs from the distributor's warehouse to the delivery address is automatically calculated (except if the item ships for free). Shipping costs are based on the weight of the item and distance from the warehouse to a shipping address. For example, not all table and chair sets weigh the same and are shipped from manufacturer/distributors located in Mississauga, Ontario, so the total cost of the order will vary - depending where you live and how much the product weighs. The cost of shipping will be calculated once you enter your city, province and postal code (zip code) on the checkout page. If you want to compare shipping costs of two items, simply enter item 1, calculate the shipping, then choose item 2 and click on the blue X icon on the right to delete item 1 from your cart, and refresh shipping rates. Please do not have a space between the first 3 and last 3 characters of your postal code.

Please note that items in an order cannot exceed 150 pounds in one single order. You may need to divide your items into separate orders so that each individual order is below 150 pounds.

When your order is shipped, you will receive an e-mail.  The e-mail will include the tracking number for your shipment.

When will my order arrive?

All orders are processed within 24 hours of your order being placed. Our office in Toronto then forwards the drop-ship order to the manufacturer's warehouse. Your order will arrive at your home in 7-10 business days. Please note that if you live in a more isolated community (for example, Newfoundland, some northern regions of most provinces) it may take a few more days to ship. Orders with products that have to cross the border may take longer as well. If your order is comprised of products from various distributors/manufacturers, your order may be delivered in multiple shipments.  

General shipping times with FedEx:

Rural areas with box numbers will ship by Canada Post - please allow up to 10 business days.

Please note that if you place your order after 4:30 p.m. EST on Friday night through Sunday midnight EST, the order will be processed on Monday.

Orders can be cancelled up to two hours of placing your order, or midnight Eastern Standard Time.  Once an order has left the warehouse and is in the hands of FedEx or Canada Post, the order cannot be cancelled.  If a customer still requires the cancellation of the order, there may be additional costs such as a 15% restocking fee and pickup shipping fees.

Out-of-stock products: we will contact you if an item that is out-of-stock has been ordered.  We, along with our vendors/suppliers, strive to keep our inventory up to date.

At this time, we do not offer shipping outside of Canada. For rural areas, such as NWT, Yukon, PEI,NL please call for a custom shipping quote. FedEx does not deliver to more isolated communities and a quote will be provided using Canada Post if possible.

Sales Tax

cooltoysfortots.ca  is located in Toronto, Canada.  The GST (Canadian Goods and Services Tax) is currently 5%. Depending on the sales tax rate of the province in which you live, (HST in Ontario, for example) you will be charged the applicable sales tax.

Duties (for goods shipped to Canada from the United States) There are NO extra duty fees or shipping fees for products sent from the U.S. These fees are included with your total price.

Toys 0% for goods made in the U.S.A. Made in other countries are subject to duty.

Furniture 9.5%

Cooltoysfortots.ca works hard to ensure you are completely satisfied with your purchase.  If you are not completely satisfied when your purchase arrives, please e-mail us for a return authorization number.  Please return the item in unused condition with all the proper paperwork. Depending on the manufacturer, there may be a restocking fee and you are also responsible for return shipping costs.  All sales are final after 14 days from date of purchase. No returns are accepted without an RA number.  Return the item for an exchange or refund within 14 days of receiving it.  Please return the item in unused condition with all the proper paperwork.  All sales are final after 14 days from date of purchase.

* Please examine your package carefully and report any damage to us immediately (e-mail or call our our customer service line). You can return the item for an exchange or refund within 14 days from date of purchase with a RA number.  Please return the item completely sealed with the necessary paperwork. Note: Shipping and handling charges are non-refundable.

* Please allow for four weeks to process your return. Orders processed with free shipping will have the standard shipping charge subtracted from your purchase credit to cover your shipping fees to send your return back to the manufacturer.
